Explore UT is a huge, campus wide open house, with TONS of interesting demonstrations, talks, and activities (and often, some fun stuff to take home) from many of the university’s departments.
Don’t miss “Explosive Foods”, and as I recall “Nano Playground” was pretty cool. The UT Robotic club has a presence there most years, and one year there was a full sized, robotic, autonomous car maneuvering around a parking lot. The engineering department had some cool stuff including some Rube Goldberg machines and a full sized water balloon tossing Trebuchet.
I expect they’ll be adding more activities to the Schedule as it gets closer to the day. We found it best to have a game plan in mind before you get there, as well as to have scoped out alternative activities in case one of your choices turns out to be a dud.
